Dr. Scott Smith
I work emergency medicine in Daytona Beach.
I enjoy outdoor activities: biking, kayaking, power paragliding, walking safaris and sailing.
I am involved in medical mission events and building a hospital in Kenya.
My goals are to make the world a better place, one patient at a time.
I am a photographer and stay at home mother of 3.
I love biking and look for any opportunity for a bike adventure!
I have been involved in the building of KMH from the beginning: documenting the medical missions, raising awareness, and assisting in the planning of our fundraisers.
My goal for this ride is to raise $500.
Hi my name is Lubin and I had the privilege of riding with Biking for a Higher Mission for the past two years. It is such a fun and rewarding experience that I'm doing it again this year and hopefully many years after. I really enjoy the ride not just because I was doing something to help others, but also because of the friends and memories that are made along the way. I look forward to meeting new riders this year and continuing to raise funds for such a great cause.
Fundraiser Goal: $300
I started riding seriously on my 60th birthday by riding 60 miles that day. Every year since, on or about my birthday, I ride as many miles as years that I've attained. My first ride in an organized ride was in the 3 State 3 Mountain Century in Chattanooga. Since then, I've ridden in many metric centuries. Last Spring, I rode in the Fuller Foundation fundraiser for elimination of poverty housing on the Natchez Trace. I plan to do the Natchez Trace ride again this Spring. I've ridden in Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi. I look forward to adding Florida to that list for this worthy cause.
My name is Susie Nordwall. I am the mom to two teenagers, Peter and Johanna and married to Don. I work as a hospice nurse. I love music and play some guitar, violin and piano. I also love doing most anything outdoors but particularly enjoy hiking and biking. I went on this bike ride a couple years ago and really enjoyed it and look forward to being a part of it again. I met some awesome people, enjoyed the biking, and we stayed in a couple beautiful campgrounds. And of course it is great to know that any money raised is going towards a worthy cause of helping people in need across the sea.
My name is Kari Corbin
I am a mother of four boys. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, taking pictures and exercising in the great outdoors. I'm riding with the KMH fundraising team to help raise money for the building of the hospital in Kimana, Kenya.
My name is Forest Williams. I grew up in the Florida Keys and spent nearly all my free time in or on the water. Currently, I am pursuing a degree in Business at The University of Central Florida in Orlando. This will be my second time participating in Biking For A Higher Mission. I am looking forward to the opportunity to help raise donations while on this upcoming adventure as well as encourage new riders to participate in this great opportunity.
